ITCs and Health from a Psychosocial Perspective

One of the most recent issues of the important Journal of Communication (Vol 61, nº 3, June 2011) has consisted of a monographic on health communication, which is a very clear index of the importance that this area of knowledge is acquiring among the international community of communication researchers. Although it does not seem necessary to insist on the importance of this area of knowledge, it should be remembered that the number of specialized academic publications (journals, books, monographs), as well as the number and quality of undergraduate and postgraduate courses (such as the postgraduate degree from the Complutense University of Madrid (Expert in Communication and Health).
