I want to inaugurate with this writing the section of letters to the editor of the Journal of Communication and Health. I understand that letters to the editor are crucial in the life of a periodical, for several reasons:
- They are the fuel that feeds dialogue, debate and well-understood dissent, based on different ways of looking at and studying the same phenomenon.
- They are the sharing and refutation of ideas based on evidence, questions and doubts that research can leave us.
