Approach and Scope

Revista de Comunicación y Salud specialises in the area of Communication and ICT in the Health sector. It is bilingual Spanish/English. The official language of the journal is Spanish, although contributions are accepted in the original language English, French and Portuguese.

Its target audience is researchers and academics in these fields of knowledge.

From 2021 the journal adopts the continuous publication system, uploading articles individually as the editorial process is completed in open access electronic format.

It is a peer-reviewed journal, which uses the double peer review system, in accordance with the publication standards of the American Psychological Association (APA 7th). This review method guarantees impartial, objective and transparent arbitration, which facilitates the article's inclusion in international reference databases, repositories and indexing.

This journal uses Open Journal System which is free journal management and publishing software developed, supported, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License.

Interoperability protocol

The journal has incorporated the interoperability protocol. OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative - Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) is a protocol used for the transmission of metadata on the Internet.
